Background:Coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) has been the standard of care for revascularisation of patients with unprotected left main coronary artery disease. The European System for Cardiac Operative Risk Evaluation II (EuroSCORE II)is a risk model to predict early and late mortality after cardiac surgery. Recent data suggest that this score may also predict clinical outcome after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The purpose of this study was to study The predictive value of EuroSCORE II to intermediate ULMCA patients after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. Methods:EuroSCORE II was prospectively assessed in168intermediate ULMCA patients undergoing PCI in Sir Run Run Shaw hospital. The follow-up end-point was major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, MACCE, defined as all-cause mortality, stroke, unfetal myocardial infarction, and repeat revascularisation.Kaplan-Meyer analyses were performed dividing the study population in three subgroups according to the EuroSCORE II algorithm (low risk group:EuroSCOREⅡ<0.9;medium risk group:EuroSCOREII0.9-1.5; high-risk group:EuroSCOREII>1.5). Receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve on all-cause mortality during the follow-up were performed. Results:The study population comprised168patients undergoing PCI. Mean follow-up duration was25.92±16.394months, all-cause mortality was0%,4.8%,14.0%in patients with low, medium and high EuroSCOREII risk group.Kaplan-Meyer survival curves for all-cause death differed significantly between EuroSCOREII groups (p=0.01). The area under the ROC curve for the prediction of all-cause death was0.643(95%CI:0.546~0.741, p=0.014)。Conclusion:EuroSCOREⅡ risk model have value in predicting the mortality and MACCE of intermediate ULMCA patients after PCI.It may help making right clinic disicion in how to deal with such patients.
