Land is the most basic and the most important comprehensive natural resources, cultivated land is the essence of the land, it is the material basis of agricultural production essential and the most basic human survival condition. Land issues related to national food security, ecological environment quality and the stability of the society and the rise and fall of the regime. Land resource management in our country has grown from a single land management land "number" to "quantity" and "quality" management and ecological management mode, especially the protection of cultivated land quality and promotion is more important for food security. However, in view of the quality of cultivated land and ecological status of the investigation and monitoring, information extraction, processing has been a bottleneck to solve the technical problems of cultivated land areas of investigation in our country is in urgent need.Since the reform and opening up, especially since the 90’s of last century, the cultivated land resources are facing enormous pressure and severe situation in China along with the increase of population and the improvement of people’s living standard, changes of cultivated land quality is the development of the current quality of ecological environment and social economy poses a serious threat. Cultivated land health in relation to food security (yield and grain quality of grain), through the scientific control of land health, can realize the management target of cultivated land quantity, quality and ecological. But the current study is focus on single evaluation object as valuate the quality of the land, cultivated land productivity or soil environment. The comprehensive evaluation of cultivated land health has social needs and scientific value.Health evaluation on cultivated land has carried on the theoretical research and applied research.Theoretical research:definition of land health connotation and cultivated land health evaluation standard, based on a combination of integrated, comprehensive and independence, regional, scale differences, scientific and operational principles to select the factors of health evaluation index system of cultivated land and build health evaluation index system of cultivated land, cultivated land health evaluation of objective factors including quality target of cultivated land, cultivated land productivity and soil environmental objectives. Using the data collection method, field investigation, expert consultation method and research method of factor indicator selection and quantification of proposed land health evaluation method, carries on the analysis and evaluation based on geographic information system platform ArcGIS and SPSS, for small scale evaluation unit tilled plots of health status.Application Research:in the coastal plain area of Dafeng City,Jiangsu Province as the research object, combined with Dafeng City agricultural land classification data, multi target geochemical survey data and base maps and thematic maps, construction of Dafeng City Land health comprehensive evaluation model and evaluation of cultivated land health level, at the same time, combined with the actual situation of study area, analysis the cultivated land health evaluation, determine the relationship between the evaluation index of the health of farmland, and then find the key factors affecting arable land health, through the various factors trade off proposed feasible suggestions, ultimately achieve the health of farmland of efficient utilization and sustainable utilization of. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Defines the concept of health of cultivated land.Healthy cultivated land refers to the cultivated land, the quality of the cultivated land, can not only protect the crops to obtain high and stable, but the cultivated land environment has not been any pollution.(2) Establish a health evaluation index system of cultivated landCombination of resources (farmland natural quality and production capacity) and the environment (soil) from the angle of comprehensive analysis, establish a health evaluation index system of cultivated land including the quality of cultivated land, productivity of cultivated land and environment of cultivated land.(3) Develop the land health evaluation standardWith reference to the national ministries related rules, notification and industry technical standards, based on the relevant research results of agricultural land classification, multi target geo chemical survey results, the status of land ecological survey results to develop standards for health evaluation of cultivated land. And the land health evaluation results into a healthy, healthy, sub healthy and unhealthy four level.(4) Application of cultivated land health assessmentUse Dafeng City in the coastal plain area as the study area to carry on the empirical analysis, using multi factor comprehensive index evaluation method in the research area of cultivated land comprehensive health index value is in the range of 0.3 to 0.9. The evaluation results for the study area of cultivated land is very healthy, healthy and sub healthy farmland cultivated land. The health percentage of cultivated land less, accounting for 0.53% of the total area of arable land; the health of farmland for 87.92% of the total area of cultivated land in the study area and throughout the study area around; sub-health of cultivated land belonging to the "no causative agent is not strong" and "weak with minor" arable land, accounting for 11.55% of the total area of the cultivated land. In the study area are all healthy farmland.(5) The correlation analysis of cultivated land health evaluation indexThe area of cultivated land quality and cultivated land productivity, and showing a positive correlation, show that the productivity of cultivated land with the increase of quality of cultivated land increased; quality of cultivated land and farmland soil environment showing negative correlation trend, show that the study area in improving the quality of cultivated land and of cultivated soil environmental conditions caused negative effects; cultivated land productivity and soil environment were negatively correlated, indicating that humans through improvement to enhance the soil fertility does improve the output of crops per unit area, but at the same time on the soil environment also caused negative effects.The research is based on the health of farmland of the rich connotation, from the combination of resources and environmental point of view, using the analytic hierarchy process (analysis method to establish the health assessment index system of cultivated land, and conducted an empirical study in Dafeng City in Jiangsu Province in the coastal plain area, the status quo of health assessment results and the area of cultivated land and agricultural land classification results are basically consistent, which at present and in the future of the delimitation of basic farmland, high standard construction of basic farmland, land use planning and land protection policy and provide more reliable theoretical basis.
