There are forty million construction workers in our country. This vulnerable group has made a great contribution to our constructions. However, their employment security issue is worrying. The construction workers are the main part of the construction safety. As a whole, it is summarized that China’s huge construction workers are suffered from the issues like the weak safety consciousness, the deficiency of safety skills, poor safety knowledge, lack of the standard safety behaviors. In this respect, it is much significant to treat the construction workers as the research object, investigate the main influencing factors on the safety results and consider how to effectively improve the safety results.In this paper, the author thinks that it is necessary to discuss the obviously influencing factors and influence mechanism on the safety results in terms of its implied significance for construction workers, construction enterprises and government safety supervision department. Based on the above mentioned problems, this paper regards the construction workers as the research object, adheres to the logical thoughts of "safety climate, safety behavior, safety results", puts forward the specific research hypothesis and theoretical model, obtains the data by means of the questionnaire, adopts the software tools like SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 17.0. As well, the paper makes an analysis on the survey data by exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation model and other statistical methods. The empirical analysis on the research hypothesis and theoretical model is conducted. In this paper, the main research contents and conclusions are stated as follows:(1) Analyze the content, structure and dimension of safety climate. Based on the literature review of the relational theory at home and abroad, this paper generalizes the concept of safety climate under the background of the construction industry in China. Safety climate is divided into four dimensions, including enterprise safety control, negative emotions of construction workers, safety skills and communication and government safety management.On this basis, this paper fully verifies the effectiveness of the division of relational perspectives through the estimates of small samples and the large-scale research. From the point of the analysis results, four dimensions of safety climate can be clearly distinguished while the division of four dimensions is rather comprehensive and reasonable.(2) Analyze the internal function mechanism of safety climate on the safety behaviors of construction workers. This study explores the influence of the internal decision mechanism of safety climate on the safety behaviors upon the introduction of enterprise safety control, negative emotions of construction workers, safety skills and communication and government safety management. Meanwhile, the paper makes an elaborate analysis on the effect size and function mechanism by the structural equation modeling approach.(3) Analyze the internal function mechanism of the safety behaviors of construction workers on the safety results. This study refers to the existing scale at home and abroad, considering the characteristics of Chinese construction workers and classifying the safety behaviors into three dimensions including the expression of operation behavior, safety participation and the assisting conducts of the workmates.According to the first-hand large sample data of construction workers, the reliability and validity of the scale are verified through the analysis of the statistical software. The analysis results show that the measurement scale of three dimensions has high reliability and validity of which it proves the reasonability of three dimensional divisions on the safety behavior. On the side, safety results can be divided into two dimensions, namely loss results and occupational injury. In this way, the corresponding latent variables of the generalized dimensions on the safety results are respectively loss results and occupational injury since the exploratory factor analysis is carried out on the large sample data of construction workers as well as the continuous improvement and statistical screening of the questionnaire. The analysis results show that the measurement scale of two dimensions has high reliability and validity of which it proves the reasonability of two dimensional divisions on the safety results. The previous studies on the safety results do not divide the safety results into the multiple dimensions. Based on the empirical analysis, the research is rather elaborate in terms of the divisions of the safety results.This study explores the influence of the internal decision mechanism of safety behavior on the safety results. Meanwhile, the paper makes an elaborate analysis on the effect size and function mechanism by the structural equation modeling approach.(4)Set up a relatively complete theoretical model with safety climate as the antecedent, safety behavior as intermediary variables, safety results as outcome variables. It is to verify that safety behavior plays the intermediary role in the safety climate and safety results to some extent.Based on the model "safety climate, safety behavior, safety results", the research’s applicability is verified under the applicability of China’s special background situation, carrying on the positive exploration on the variable and function mechanism of safety results, breaking through the previous research literature in avoiding the further exploration on the limits of safety results, adopting the empirical data to search for the determinants and impacts of safety results and enriching the theoretical research of construction safety.The research results can give a scientific way for the construction enterprise to improve the internal safety management, guide the government safety supervision department to optimize the government policy of construction safety management, etc. The research is much important to improve the safety results and reduce the casualty rate of construction workers.Of course, there are some deficiencies in this paper. The follow-up studies will be more thorough and comprehensive.
