The Mobile Ad hoc network (MANET) is composed of a collection of mobile nodes, which areconnected together by their wireless links. In this environment, mobile nodes may function as communication terminals or intermediate nodes (routers). One distinguishing feature is that users, when communicating to each other, may establish a multi-hop path among these wireless links, quite different current existing networks, another distinguishing feature is that the nework topology in MANET may be frequently changed and dynamically adapted. Due to their high flexibility and high survival ability, MANET is very much suitable for the use in battlefield communications, nonetheless, more and more civil communications such as rescue operations and city bus communication are adopting MANET in recent years.At present, many research organizations commit themselves to MANET technology. The main research fileds include: routing protocol, MAC protocol, traffic engine, multicast, and security of networks.In this dissertation, tracking the hot research subjects, I focus my works on MAC protocol, routing path selected algorithm and the backoff algorithm for random access schemes. The main content and innovation summarised as following:1. In the first chapter, the history, characteristic, foreground of deployment, hot point of research and prospect in key technology of MANET are analysised, and then, research background, content and innovation of this dissertation are summarized.2. Generally described the status media access control (MAC) of MANET, and intruduced the main technic scheme, besides, the analyzing of the characteristics of this technology.The paper puts forward the RTS refused probability in the queue management of MAC layer and brings forward a new medium access control algorithm based on multipacket reception for MANET.3. Generally described the status route protocol of MANET, and intruduced the main technic scheme, besides, the analyzing of the characteristics of this technology and brings forword a new path selected algorithm based on delay and energy consumed in MANET.
