Fifteenth Century Gothic Painting Style Of Italian Painting Effects

Gothic art and its history occupy an important place in the history of European arts. There are diverse opinions about its evaluation and its aesthetic changes in the art history. Although the specialists of contemporary art history have conducted the objective study on it and achieved the considerable results, we have also noticed that with richer modern information and more publishing of video materials, the corresponding studies may lead to new results and new research field. The topic of this thesis is just based on the previous results from the study on Gothic art theories. On the basis of the documents and materials I have collected, I try to rearrange Gothic art theory and its video materials, study and analyze the spiritual demand, styles and multiple features of Gothic art, and furthermore, try to explain the internal basis of its pattern changes. Besides, the study on the history of Italian painting style in the Renaissance is based on the same idea. I have chosen the European paining history in the fifteenth century and try to give some explanations to what influence Gothic art had exerted on Italian painting art in such a historical period. As a traditional art form of Christianity, Gothic art or its painting art possesses strong national emotions and aesthetic tastes in the national cultures of north European countries. Therefore, there must appear a complicated and evident conceptual conflict in the course of exchange between Gothic art and Italian art. From the vertical history of the Middle Ages, Gothic style is an art form the north European countries created to struggle against Roman Latin culture and to replace the declining Roman culture. And the betrayal of the international Gothic art in the fifteenth century became an important factor leading to the appearance of Florentine classical style. The art history tells us that the ebb and flow, and gradual replacement of art styles are just the symbols of internal vitality of art development. The establishment of new art styles includes absorption and reform of traditions. The survey on the European art history in the fifteenth century is because this period of history is rich and profound in enlightening academic significance.
