| Objective: Evaluated efficacy and safety of Traditional Chinese Medicine used in the acute stage of ischemic stroke systematically, then filtrated advantageous therapeutic methods and commendatory herbs and formula. Methods: Collected clinical experiments in traditional Chinese medicine used in the acute stage of ischemic stroke roundly, established a choice criterion, filtrated qualified researches, evaluating the quality of the qualified researches by using the Jadad standard of perfection, made tests for homogeneity, Meta-analysis, funnel plots analysis, sensitivity analysis, fail-safe number to the related effect indicators. Results: Retrieved 5087 related documents, 236 items were brought into the qualified researches. There were 29 kinds of therapeutic methods in all, got involved in the methods of benefiting qi ,benefiting qi and nourishing yin, promoting blood flow, clearing heat, promoting blood flow and resolving phlegm, promoting blood flow and clearing heat, benefiting qi and promoting blood flow, nourishing yin ,clearing heat and promoting blood flow, etc. There were 74 kinds of Chinese medicine and formula, including medicinal broth, pill, powder, injection, etc. Made statistical analysis to the overall effective rate, relative risk and risk difference of the originating rate of bad affairs, weighted mean difference of nerve function deficiency grade and grade of the ability of the activities of dialing living, number needed to treat and its 99% confidence intervals (The statistical results was in the appendix 2). Conclusion: Through the research, we made a conclusion that the therapeutic methods of benefiting qi, benefiting qi and nourishing yin, promoting blood flow, benefiting qi and promoting blood flow, clearing heat , nourishing yin and promoting blood flow was the advantageous therapeutic methods for treating the acute stage of the ischemic stroke. Huang qi (Astragalus root) injection was first recommended for benefiting qi. Then was Ci Wujia (acathopanax) injection. Shen Mai injection was first recommended for benefiting qi and nourishing yin. Then was the Sheng Mai injection. Deng Zhanhua injection was first recommended for promoting blood flow, then was San Qi preparation, puerarin injection, lumbrukinase, ligustrazine injection, ginkgo leaf preparation. Bu yang huan wu tang was first recommended for benefiting qi and promoting blood flow, then was tong xin luo (dredging heart collaterals) capsule. Mai luo ning injection was recommended for nourishing yin, clearing heat and promoting blood flow.
