A Study On The Role Of Endogenous Nitric Oxide In The Airway Inflammation And Airway Hyperresponsiveness

As is known, nitric oxide(NO) has double influences on the disease of asthma: on the one hand, it makes the smooth muscle relaxation by the way of iNANC and its direct effect; On the other hand, it is also important inflammatory mediator and toxic substance, among which the former takes part in immunopathologic process, the letter may cause the damage of epithelial cell and increase of airway reactivity. Therefor, the metabolic condition of NO is decisive to the pathogenesis of asthma.The study is divided three sections: Section 1: iNANC nerve Relaxation of airway of guinea pig sesitized with OA and expression of cNOS.It is proved that iNANC nerve is the only relaxation nerve in trachea and bronchial tree, NO is an important mediator of iNANC nerve.
