Experimental Mechanism Study Of Molecular Biology And Clinical Application On Simple Obesity With Acupuncture

The dissertation includes three parts as follows.Literature research: This part had reviewed the etiology and pathology of obesity and collected the acupuncture and herbal medicine treatment for it. In this part, the last clinical and experimental literatures on obesity in the world had been summarized and the literature on acupuncture for simple obesity had been refined theoretically.Clinical research: 110 cases were divided into five groups according to their syndromes which were excess heat in the stomach and intestine,spleen deficiency and. All of them were treated by body and ear needle. The result showed that: After the treatment of one course, the total effective rate was 97.3%. The obesity signs had been improved obviously while the contents of the body weight, sebum fat thickness, BMI increased. Compared after treatment to before, it showed the significant difference in statistic. The data indicated that acupuncture had the function of reducing body weight, rectifying blood situation. The result also showed that Leptin had decreased which was always high level in blood of simple obesity and the plant nerve balanced index (Y) increased. The data indicated that acupuncture could correct the resistance of Leptin and regular the plant nerve in simple obesity.Experimental research: Observing the rat's weight and fat signs concluded that fat rats reached 60% after being fed for 30 days. The result showed that the feeding prescription was reasonable and the animal model was higher than reported before. Experiment , Conclusion: Acupuncture to fat rat could obviously reduce the body weight and fat; lessen the quantity, diameter, area and volume of white fat cell; effectively decrease the NPY level in hypothalamus . Acupuncture to fat rat could make the level of Leptin decreased in serum but increased in hypothalamus, correct the resistance of Leptin . After the treatment of acupuncture NO and NOS and MDA also decreased in hypothalamus , and nerve cell apoptosis amount in hypothalamus decreased as well.
