The study has proceeded in the quality and applying research of commonly used Chinese pharmacy Herba Plantaginis. In the respect of the quality research, which adopted the methods of ultraviolet spectrum , high performance capillary electrophoresis , X-ray diffraction to develop the identifying research; which adopted the high performance liquid chromatography , high performance capillary electrophoresis , spectrophotometry, atom absorption spectrophotometria to determine the norm ingr edients of phenol acids , iridoids , flavonoids phenylethvl-glycosides , total phenoids and trace elements. In the applying research , we also proceeded the selecting of the effect part for Herba Plantaginis to conclude the effect part of calming-cough eliminating-phlegm , tranquiling-asthzna being the flavonoids and phenylethyl- glycosides, and proceeded simultaneously in the experiment research of manufacturing techniques , quality normalization , drug effectiveness toxicologia. Through the research of this study , which effectively identify the varieties of Herba Plantaginis . and control the quality of Herba plantaginis., which will establish the substantial basis for the developing and applying of Herba Plantaginis.
