The theory of five circuits and six qi believes that human lives are closely associated with climate changes. In this research, we aimed to investigate the relationship between congenital yunqi endowments formed during embryonic-infancy period and acquired diseases in five zang-organs, which based on theoretical and clinical data statistics. The results may be beneficial to provide some useful references for disease prevention and public health promotion, which reflected the Chinese medicine idea of prevention first.ObjectiveTo study the association between congenital yunqi formed during embryonic-infancy stage and acquired diseases in five zang-organs.To analyze the yunqi relations of congenital and acquired, trying to discover the rules of ’People with xx congenital yunqi would easily suffering from xx zang-system disease under the condition of xx onset yunqi’MethodsData sources:Inpatient medical records were collected from Dongzhimen hospital from Dec 1997 to Dec 2007 (10 years), including diseases of respiratory system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, urinary system, pediatric and senile diseases, etc.Data processing:First, screening the original medical records according to the criteria of exclusion and inclusion. Second, classifying the included objects to the five zang-organs and then these data (12,330 cases in total) were defined as statistical data. Finally, calculating the five times (such as the period of pregnancy, birth,100 days,1 year old and onset dates) and transforming them into heavenly stems and earthly branches.Statistical methods:Descriptive statistics was used to describe the distributions of five circuits and six qi of five zang-organs cases, and then Chi-square test was adopted to determine differences among them. Furthermore, logistic regression was used to select the essential yunqi factor that had a significant impact on illness.Results1 The effect of congenital yunqi on five zang-organs diseases:First, the influence of embryonic times were sorted in descending order as the follows:birth year> conception year> conception month and day> birth month and day. Among them, the birth year made the largest contribution. Second, during the infancy stage, from birth to one year old, the congenital yunqi of spleen system has been basically formed in 100 days after birth, which advanced than the other four zang-organs. Third, if the congenital yunqi mainly from violently years, such as Tianfu, Taiyi Tianfu, Tongtianfu, Xiaoni, Buhe, Tianxing, people would more likely to suffer from disease. In contrast, people would more safety if their endowment yunqi maily from gental years, such as Suihui, Tongsuihui, Pingqi, Shunhua.2 Yunqi times of congenital and acquired in five zang-organs diseases:Individuals susceptible to liver system disease in Jia year, whom had conception in wu year, born in ji year and the infancy period is also mainly from ji year. Individuals susceptible to heart system disease in yi year, whom was born in jia or yi year and the infancy period is also mainly from yi year. Individuals susceptible to spleen system disease in Jia year, whom had conception in mao or you year, especially in the 5th qi, born in chen or xu year and the infancy period is also mainly from chen or xu year. Individuals susceptible to lung system disease in the 6th qi, mostly in water circuits year and Jia year, whom had conception in gui year, especially in the 3th qi, born in gui or jia year and the infancy period is also mainly from jia year. Individuals susceptible to kidney system disease in gui year, whom had conception in wu year with taiyang cold water guest qi, born in ji year with yangming dry metal and the infancy period is also mainly from ji year.3 Yunqi features of congenital and acquired in five zang-organs diseases:Liver system disease was closely related to damp earth (i.e. relativity). Heart system disease was closely related to fire (i.e. high temperture). Spleen system disease was closely related to cold and damp earth (i.e. temperature and relativity). Lung system disease was related to cold water (i.e. temperature and relativity), especially the cold temperature. Kindey system disease was closely related to cold (i.e. temperature).Conclusion1 Heavenly stems and earthly branches among both congenital and acquired yunqi had the most significant impact on the attack of five zang-organs diseases. There is a close relationship between five circuits (sufficient and insufficient) and disease of five zang prediction. Additionally, it is convenient to predict disease location through yunqi feature in year, which reflected the characteristic of Yunqi theory.2 Five phases of ’earth’ has appeared many times in both congenital and acquired yunqi factors, which appeared important influence. Consequently, more attentions should be paid to disease prevention in the years with earth yunqi feature, especially those born in these years. It is helpful to reinforce the spleen.
