Professor Li Yueqing 's Academic Experience And Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial Of "Huoxuetongluo Decoction" In Treating Chronic Prostatitis

Objective:The method of promoting blood circulation and dredging collaterals to treat chronic prostatitis is developed with the dissertation tutor’s academic thoughts. Prostatitis collaterals decoction is a prescription based on experience. This research evaluates the clinical efficacy of the prostatitis collaterals decoction for the treatment of chronic prostatitis (Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome) by using NIH chronic prostatitis symptom score (NIH-CPSI),9 entries of Patient Health Questionnaire score (PHQ-9), and the number of white blood cells and lecithin in prostatic fluid..Methods:This dissertation used a randomized and controlled clinical trial research method, and selected 120 cases with chronic prostatitis stasis syndrome through NIH chronic prostatitis symptom score (NIH-CPSI) and prostate massage fluid (EPS) routine, and divided these cases into two groups, the experimental group (60 cases,1 case of loss) and the controlled group (60 cases, shedding 6 example). The patients in the experimental group took the boiled-free prostatitis collaterals decoction particles with boiled warm water one package at a time, twice a day for 4 weeks,40 minutes before breakfast and supper. The patients in the controlled group took the forefront Yan capsule,6 capsules at a time with boiled warna water, three times a day for 4 weeks,40 minutes before each meal. All the patients were interviewed and examined with NIH-CPSI, PHQ-9 score right after the experiment, two weeks and four weeks after the experiment begins. And they were interviewed by telephone and examined with NIH-CPSI, PHQ-9 score four weeks after the experiment ends.Results:In the experimental group,5 cases were cured (8.47%),19 had marked effect (32.20%),28 were effective (47.46%). The effective ratio in the experimental group were 88.14%. In the controlled group,3 cases were cured (5.56%),13 had marked effect (24.07%), 22 were effective (40.74%). The effective ratio in the controlled group were 70.37%.Comparison of NIH-CPSI between the two groups before and after treatment was significant (P<0.01). Compared with those of the controlled group, the NIH-CPSI total score, and pain and quality of life score of the experimental group in the fourth week and the eighth week were significant (P<0.05).Comparison of the PHQ-9 score between the two groups before and after treatment was significant (P<0.01). Compared with that of the controlled group, the PHQ-9 score of the experimental group in the second week, the fourth week and the eighth week were significant (P<0.05).Comparison of the EPS white blood cell numbers between the two groups before and after treatment was significant (P<0.01). Compared with that of the controlled group, the EPS white blood cell number of the experimental group in the second week and the fourth week were significant (P<0.01).Comparison of the lecithin body number between the two groups before and after treatment was significant (P<0.01). The difference between two groups was significant (P< 0.01) after two-week treatment and four-week treatment. After two-week treatment, the lecithin body number of the experimental group was not significantly different from that of the controlled group (P> 0.05). After two-week treatment, the lecithin body number of the experimental group was superior to that of the controlled group (P<0.01).Conclusion:Clinical symptoms of the chronic prostatitis (Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome) have different degrees of improvement with prostatitis collaterals decoction. Prostatitis collaterals decoction can particularly relieve the pain of the patients, improve their life quality and change their depression states. Prostatitis collaterals decoction can reduce the number of white blood cells in prostatic fluid, and increase the number of lecithin bodies. Therefore, Prostatitis collaterals decoction can treat this type of chronic prostatitis effectively.
