She respects classical prescriptions and values scientific research, and specializes in the treatment of internal miscellaneous diseases, especially cardiovascular disease, digestive system disease, gynecological disease, and various incurable diseases.3 Professor Zhongmin Wei’s study on the law of the clinical treatment of the cou gh with prescriptionThe treatment of acute and chronic cough by Professor Zhongmin Wei of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from October 2013 to October 2014 has been collect ed. After a preliminary screening,52 prescriptions for acute cough and 106 prescripti ons for chronic cough were collected respectively. We adopt Traditional Chinese Medic ine Inheritance Support System (TCMISS) software to analyze the law of the prescript ions, and dig the prescription data on three levels including single medicine, pair medi cine and core combination of commonly used medicines. The results suggest that the most commonly used single medicines for treating acute cough by Professor Wei are Fructus Arctic, Folium Eriobotryae, Schizonepetae Herba, Folium Mori, Apricot Kernel, Honeysuckle, Rhizoma Phragmitis, Licorice Roots Northwest Origin, Chrysanthemum. Radix Platycodi, etc.The most commonly used pair medicines are Great Burdock Ache ne-Folium Eriobotryae, Schizonepetae Herba-Fructus Arctii, Schizonepetae Herba-Aprico t Kernel, Fructus Arctii-Folium Mori, Folium Mori-Chrysanthemum, Rhizoma Phragmitis-HerbaHouttuyniae, Folium Mori-Folium Eriobotryae, Schizonepetae Herba-Folium Eriobo tryae, Honeysuckle-Schizonepetae Herba, Honeysuckle-Chrysanthemum,etc. The most co mmonly used core combinations of four medicines are Thunberg Fritillary Bulb, Radix Ophiopogonis,LilyBulb, and Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae-Folium Mori, Chrysanthemum Peppermint, and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae-Poria Cocos, Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparata, Peppermint, and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae. The most commonly used single medici nes for treating chronic cough are Raw Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Folium Eriobotryae, Poria Cocos, Raw Radix Astragalis, Apricot Kernel, Radix Asteris, Flos F arfarae, Radix Ophiopogonis, etc. The most commonly used pair medicines are Poria Co cos, Raw Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae-Radix Asteris, Flos Farfarae-Radix Aste ris, Folium Eriobotryae-Folium Eriobotryae, Raw Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae-Poria Cocos, Folium Eriobotryae-Raw Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Raw Radix Astragalis-Apricot Kernel, Folium Eriobotryae-Flos Farfarae, Folium Eriobotryae-Radix Asteris, Flos Farfarae, Folium Eriobotryae-Apricot Kernel, and Raw Rhizoma Atractyl odis Macrocephalae. The most commonly used core combinations of four medicines ar e Radix Ophiopogonis, Radix Glehniae, Radix Pseudostellariae, and Polished Round-gr ained Rice-Raw Radix Astragalis, Morus Alba, Honeyed Folium Eriobotryae, and Fried Bitter Apricot Kernel-Radix Asteris, Folium Eriobotryae, Flos Farfarae, and Fried Bitte r Apricot Kernel.4 Professor Zhongmin Wei’s clinical study on the method of banking up earth to generate metal in diagnosis and treatment of post-infection cough (PIC) in childrenThis project is based on the core academic thought of Professor Wei’s theory of "five organ’s Qi is being unobstructed status". Combining her clinical experience on diagnosis and treatment of chronic cough, the present study analyzed the progress of clinical Chinese and Western medicine treatment of PIC in children. According to the physiological and pathological features of children, we developed a treatment principle for the method of banking up earth to generate metal in treatment of children with PIC, and worked out a PIC prescription for children. Children’s PIC cases were collected in the hospital clinic. In order to provide a more effective and safe treatment for children with PIC, we compared the clinical efficacy of the PIC prescription with Ambroxol Hydrochloride and Clenbuterol Hydrochloride Oral Solution (Yi Tanjing). Methods:The children meeting PIC diagnostic criteria were assigned to the treatment group (60 cases) and the control group (40 cases). The treatment lasted two weeks. The main symptoms and secondary symptoms were observed before and after treatment, and the efficiency, improvement of individual symptom and recurrence was also compared between these two groups. Results:Comprehensive efficacy analysis showed that the effective rate was 91.53%(n=59) in the treatment group and 78.95%(n=38) in the control group. The clinical effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). In the improvement of symptoms, the main symptom scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group, especially in cough, expectoration, sweating and burnout (P<0.01). But the difference of the treatment effect in the symptom of breathing was not significant between the two groups (P>0.05). The chronic cough prescription can obviously relieve cough, expectoration, sweating and burnout symptoms, and the curative effect of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group. The two groups were followed up after two weeks treatment. The results showed that burnout and sweating symptoms of the treatment group were significantly improved. There was no recurrence of symptoms of cough, expectoration and breathing in the treatment group, but a small number of cases have recurrent cough in the control group. However, the difference between the two groups did not reach significant (P>0.05). The findings suggest that the treatment with the PIC prescription can significantly reduce the recurrence of chronic cough. Conclusion:The curative effect of PIC prescription for children with PIC is better than Yi Tanjing. The PIC prescription can significantly improve the symptoms of cough, expectoration, sweating and burnout.
