Research On Zhongjing 's Method

Objective:Zhang-zhongjing’s purgation method is well examined and then interpreted in the study so as to provide a profound insight on the essence of the method, and the strategy of using the method by Zhang-zhongjing, thus the scope of purgation could be expanded for a more effective and better clinical practice.Method:Literature research is employed in the study, and in which Zhang-zhongjing’s pugation method is examined in 4 ways, which are curing Zang, curing Fu, nursing deficiency and doing diagnosis, by referring Yellow emperor’s canon of medicine and other TCM literature, specially Zhang-zhongj ing’s Treatise on Febrile Disease and Synopsis of Golden Chamber, and of course, integrated with my opinions and mentor’s tutorial.Results:1, The purgation method of Zhang-zhongjing features as adaptive, oriented, objective, investigative, re-corrective and coordinative, in which, Gastrointestinal Fushi is the core and heart while un-bloking Fu is direct purpose and function.2, The purgation method of Zhang-zhongjing could be used, not only in un-blocking Fu to curing Fu, but also in un-blocking Fu to curing Zang, which is an expanded, and indirect applying of purgation method, by which clinical practice could be inspired on nursing Five-Zang disease. This applying strategy is based on TCM zang-fu co-relationship theory, achieving mainly by expelling pathogenic factor in fu to curing zang, and coming to effect in 3 ways, which are expelling pathogenic factor in fu to curing zang excess syndrome, expelling pathogenic factor in fu to curing zang deficiency syndrome, expelling pathogenic factor to preventing zang disease.3, The strategy of un-blocking Fu to nursing deficiency could be analyzed in 5 ways, which are unblocking Fu to nursing deficiency, unblocking Fu with caring deficiency, unblocking Fu with reinforcing deficiency, nursing deficiency after unblocking Fu, and urgent purgation to preserve yin-deficiency, which means that purgation method is also used to nursing deficiency by Zhang-zhongjing.4, Conventional and exclusive diagnosis method are exampled by Zhang-zhongjing, using purgation, with which we could be more sure about distinguishing syndrome suiting to purgation.Conclution:1,The purgation used by Zhang-zhongjing is not only to unblock Fu, but also to nursing Zang and deficiency.2, The exclusive diagnosis method which is employed in the strategy of purgation is favorable to clinical use of purgation.
