Research On Zhang Zhongjing’s Academic Thoughts Of Nourishing Yin

Objective:"Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases" by Zhang Zhongjing constructed a new,practical and effective clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment system including theory,method,prescription,and medicine,and containing 269 prescriptions and 214 kinds of medicines.And also because of the accurate selection of medicines,the rigorous compatibility of Chinese Medicines,and the significant efficacy,it is known as the "Ancestor of prescriptions".Throughout the whole book,Zhang Zhongjing’s academic thoughts were not only focused on strengthening Yang,but also on nourishing Yin and run through the his whole diagnosis and treatment procedures.This thesis aims to explore the characteristics and laws of Zhongjing’s method of nourishing yin,in order to enrich the understanding of Zhongjing’s academic thoughts,deepen the understanding of the method of nourishing yin,and provide ideas and references for the application of the method of nourishing yin.Method:Through the analysis of the original text of "Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases",and the collection of the etiology,symptoms,pulse conditions,prescriptions,medicines and other related contents of Yin deficiency,the characteristics of Zhongjing’s Yin-nourishing therapy and medication are summarized.Result:By sorting out the articles on Yin deficiency syndrome and treatment in the book,the thesis systematically counted the etiology,symptoms,pulse,prescriptions and other contents of Yin deficiency.And from the perspective of theory,law,prescription,and medicine,a preliminary summary of Zhang Zhongjing’s thoughts of nourishing yin is made.Zhongjing’s nourishing yin method is divided into direct nourishing yin method and indirect nourishing yin method.The direct nourishing yin method has obvious difference on three level,nourishing yin fluid,nourishing yin blood,and nourishing yin;The indirect nourishing yin is the embodiment of Zhongjing’s dialectical treatment,which is divided into 8 methods for replenishing qi and nourishing yin,warming yang to promote yin,diuresis and nourishing yin,activating blood and nourishing yin,clearing heat and nourishing yin,purging and storing yin,warming yang to hold yin,and astringing amd preserving yin.In the treatment of mental illness and asthenia disease,Zhongjing paid particular attention to the application of the method of nourishing yin.In the book,Zhongjing applies more than 20 drugs with direct yinnourishing effects.Among these drugs,Zhongjing is good at grasping the properties,dosages,compatibility,or taking its primary efficacy,or one drug with multiple uses,to give full play to pharmaceutical effect.Conclusion:The content about yin deficiency in Zhongjing’s works is rich and diverse,and the thought of nourishing yin plays an important part of Zhongjing’s complete academic system.Through the study of Zhongjing’s method,prescripition and medicine of nourishing yin,it has positive significance for the inheritance and development of Zhongjing’s academic thoughts of nourishing yin.
