High roller compact concrete (RCC) arch dams have the characteristics of thin dam body, stringent requirement of temperature controlling etc, its construction process is very complex and have many influencing factor, such as the mode of feeding material, the block construction technique, the temperature-controlling measure, machine matching etc, especially the construction system analysis for those high RCC arch dam that is more than 100 meters high is a important research problem, This paper has studied the methodology and application of high RCC arch dam simulation and optimization, has got the following research results:(1) According to the systematic analyze for the process of high RCC arch dam construction, system simulation technology is used in the field of high RCC arch dam construction programming and control successfully.(2) The visual simulation method for high RCC arch dam construction based on the GIS was presented. Through integrating GIS and simulation technique, provide high RCC arch dam construction modeling with an intuitionistic and effective method. The proposing of adopting random process theory to discuss the space transfer of casting process during the operation of the system in detail realizes the numerical description of high RCC arch dam construction system.(3) Aiming at simulation constraint condition and targets of high RCC arch dam construction, considering coupling problem of transportation system model and dam surface operation system model synthetically, stochastic dymanic logic model is established.(4) The synthetical evaluation system of high RCC arch dam construction multi-scheme compare and analysis is founded, the multi-objectivistic decision-making problem of high RCC arch dam construction is studied deeply, the multi-objectivistic decision-making theory and method for high RCC arch dam construction were proposed, at the same time, analysis the simulation result with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, offers theory support for solving multi-scheme evaluation problem.(5) The high RCC arch dam construction simulation software was exploited, The system is composed of construction machine management, parameter collection management, simulation calculate, result query and so on, it has the functions such as construction process simulation, result dynamic demo and visual query etc, the practicability of the system is well. (6) Integrate with SaPai dam which is the presently highest arch dam in our country, analysis its constrction process systemly, aiming at its constraint condition and goal, the construction simulation model for SaPai arch dam. Through simulation calculation analysis of construction multi-scheme, provide engineering design to establish logical feasible scheme with advanced technical measure. For the schedule lagging condition of SaPai arch dam, The construction schedule adjusting scheme and measures to assure the planned schedule is presented and the corresponding construction progress schedule was predicted, it contribute to the engineering construction.
