Optimized Research Of Inventory Management For Company F Based On Supply Chain Management

Inventory,is the foundation to guarantee the sustainable and stable running and development of manufacturing enterprises as well as “the third source of profit”.In nowadays,what all manufacturing enterprises have to take into consideration is how to well manage inventory and keep it within sensible limits in fierce competition.This article takes Company F,the wholly foreign-owned researcher and manufacturer of global communication equipment and cloud computing,as the research object,analyzing its inventory management status and summarizing the inventory management problems faced by it.There are totally three main problems existing in the inventory management of Company F.Firstly,the inventory structure is unreasonable.Secondly,the inventory turnover is slow.Thirdly,the cost of renting warehouses is high.After analyzing the reasons cause above problems,optimization schemes base on supply chain management are proposed.Firstly,to set up the ABC classification system.secondly,to establish the information sharing platform system.Thirdly,to increase forecast analysis process.Finally,to optimize the existing VMI system.To guarantee the implementation of these optimization schemes,actions from two aspects are provided.On one hand,implement inventory management project,train the relevant personnel of inventory management,standardize operation procedure and perfect KPI system.On the other hand,improve vendor management system and strengthen cooperation with customers.Basing on inventory management and supply chain inventory management theory,this article used literature research method,empirical research method and statistical analysis method in analyzing and solving the problems Company F is facing to reduce its stock pressure and enhance its comprehensive competitiveness.I hope the application of this research can provide some reference and guide to the similar manufacturing enterprises in inventory management.
