Study On The Strategy Of Improving The Credibility Of Q City Governmental Statistics

Statistical data is an important basis for understanding the national situation,formulating policies and judging the situation,which involves all aspects of national economic and social development.The report of the 20 th Party Congress points out that "high-quality development is the primary task of comprehensively building a modern socialist country",and that it is necessary to "promote the economy to achieve effective improvement in quality and reasonable growth in quantity".As China’s economy changes from high-speed growth to high-quality development,the government continues to pay more attention to statistical data,the frequency of statistical data use is increasing,and the realization of various major strategic goals of the Party and the government need real and reliable statistical data to provide strong support.The Party Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to statistical work,since the 18 th Party Congress,the central leadership has repeatedly stressed the need to further strengthen the construction of the rule of law and supervision and accountability,and seriously investigate and deal with statistical fraud and falsification to improve the authenticity of statistical data.The 19 th Party Congress,from the perspective of improving the supervision system of the Party and the state,clearly proposed "improving the statistical system",incorporating the statistical work into the Party and the state supervision system.However,economic data moisture,data does not match the feelings of the phenomenon is still frequently exposed,the credibility of government statistics at the same time facing unprecedented challenges.Improving the credibility of the government is a realistic task and a major issue that governments at all levels need to deal with.This paper takes Q government’s statistical credibility as the research object,guided by the basic theories such as information asymmetry theory,stakeholder theory and total quality manager theory,reads a lot of literature on government statistical credibility at home and abroad,adopts the research method of questionnaire survey,and conducts research on the public’s knowledge,trust,participation,trust in statistical data,and recognition of data quality in Q city.The research was conducted to comprehensively analyze the current situation and problems of the statistical work in Q city,and to summarize the results of the questionnaire survey in detail.Combined with the results of the questionnaire survey,we analyzed the causes of the problems of the statistical credibility of Q city government,and proposed six targeted strategies and solutions: first,to promote the reform of the government’s statistical management system;second,to strengthen the accountability mechanism and increase law enforcement;third,strengthen the statistical science and information disclosure efforts;fourth,to take multiple measures to improve the quality of data;fifth,to accelerate the construction of modern service-oriented statistical institutions;sixth,to strengthen the monitoring and guidance of public opinion.Through the research of this paper,we seek to improve the credibility of Q city government statistics and promote the healthy development of China’s government statistics.
