| Critical thinking is a necessary accomplishment for individuals in contemporary society to deal with complex information.At present,few researchers discuss the subject critical thinking of middle school students.This study,starting from the field of chemistry,aims to evaluate the critical thinking of middle school students and explore the situation of chemical critical thinking of middle school students and analyze the differences to find out the influencing factors,which will bring some inspiration to teaching.This study examines the chemical critical thinking of students in the third year of middle school.Firstly,the connotation of chemical critical thinking is defined through literature research.Secondly,based on relevant theories,the evaluation framework of chemical critical thinking is constructed.After that,an assessment tool of chemical critical thinking suitable for junior high school students is developed according to the evaluation framework.The reliability and validity of the evaluation tool meet the requirements after expert examination and testing.Finally,using questionnaire survey and test method,109 students from an experimental school in Fujian Province are selected as the research subjects to explore the overall situation and differential performance of chemical critical thinking of middle school students.The research results are as follows:(1)Middle school students have chemical critical thinking,which is at the middle level.The thinking tendency is above the medium level and the thinking skill is below the medium level.(2)There is a positive correlation between chemical critical thinking and academic level of middle school students.Students with high academic level have good performance in chemical critical thinking tendency and thinking skills.(3)There is no significant difference between gender and the atmosphere of class in chemical critical thinking of middle school students. |
