The General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)presents the content of high school mathematics knowledge in a thematic form to make mathematical knowledge more systematic,and proposes the process and operation methods of thematic teaching design in Teaching and Evaluation Case 36 Function monotonicity."Distance" is one of the important concepts in mathematics,and it is the basis and key for students to learn many mathematical concepts and research problems.The new textbook has increased the content related to distance,and the curriculum standards also clearly put forward the learning requirements about "distance",but the content related to "distance" in the textbook spans a wide range.Therefore,this study explores the issues related to the teaching of topics and designs a review lesson on the topic of "distance" in high school mathematics.By reviewing the literature related to theme-based teaching,the characteristics,principles and teaching design of theme-based teaching are studied.Compared with other teaching modes,the theme-based teaching mode focuses more on the wholeness and connection of knowledge,which helps students understand and master knowledge from a holistic perspective and enriches the teaching methods.In this study,a survey was used to analyze the students’ learning situation and to understand their learning about "distance" : Many students could not write the three distance concepts correctly,and there were problems such as unfamiliarity with the formula and calculation errors in the process of solving the problems.Using the content analysis method,we analyze the requirements of "distance" in the curriculum standards of different levels,compare the old and new teaching materials,and deeply grasp the internal connection between teaching contents and knowledge.On this basis,we determined the specific contents of the theme teaching of "distance",analyzed the teaching elements,and prepared the theme teaching objectives.Finally,the design and analysis of the theme teaching of "distance" are completed,and the mathematical ideas and methods in the theme teaching are summarized to provide reference for the subsequent study of the theme teaching.The theme-based teaching model integrates the content of the topic through the consideration of a series of problems,which helps students to have a deeper understanding of the content and the implementation of mathematical thinking.
