| Focusing on the development of students’ core literacy is the current demand of education and teaching in countries around the world.The "Geography Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Edition and 2020 Revision)" clearly proposes to innovate the learning methods that cultivate students’ core geographic literacy through cooperation and inquiry.The 5E teaching mode takes students as the main body and inquiry as the core,guides students to gradually complete situational tasks through five links: attraction,exploration,interpretation,transfer and evaluation,triggers students’ deep learning and thinking,realizes the advancement of thinking ability,and implements the cultivation of students’ geographical core literacy.In order to test the effect of the 5E teaching mode on cultivating students’ core geographical literacy,this paper takes constructivism,humanism and concept transformation theory as the guide,sorts out the concept of 5E teaching mode and the research status at home and abroad through literature research method,understands the application status of 5E teaching mode in high school geography teaching through questionnaire survey method and interview method,constructs the high school geography teaching mode under 5E teaching mode,and finally uses action research method to carry out teaching practice for the first two parallel classes of high school.The problems existing in the practice process are summarized and countermeasures are proposed,in order to provide case reference and strategic suggestions for high school geography teachers to apply the 5E teaching mode to teaching.The conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Through questionnaire and interviews,it is found that there are the following problems: the 5E teaching mode has less application in geography teaching,teachers have insufficient practice in each link,and the 5E teaching mode is difficult to control the classroom.(2)On the basis of constructivism,humanism and conceptual transformation theory,the construction principle of 5E teaching mode is proposed,and the construction ideas are determined according to the five links of 5E teaching mode(attraction,exploration,explanation,transfer,and evaluation): creating situations,stimulating doubts →cooperative exploration,dialing thinking→encouraging expression,scientific explanation→ linking life,comparative situation → throughout the whole process,and multiple evaluations.(3)Through questionnaires,classroom observations and interviews,the 5E teaching mode is conducive to improving students’ core geographic literacy.Improper time allocation for the solidification of teaching mode;Students explore collectively and learn poorly;The following solutions are proposed to solve the problems of short research time and insufficient teaching experience: reconstruct the teaching link and allocate time flexibly;Optimize group structure and improve inquiry ability;Carry out collective teaching and research to enhance professional quality. |
