Transportation is an important part of economic and social life.The development of the times has brought about the rapid development of transportation and the research on transportation history.Accordingly,the content requirements of transportation history learning in curriculum standards have also changed.Compared with the experimental version of curriculum standards,the new version condensed the key competencies of history and anchored the goal of transportation learning.The course structure is optimized,and the perspective of understanding transportation history is added,and the content of transportation learning is enriched.The understanding foundation of transportation history is laid in the compulsory learning stage,and the understanding of transportation structural system is developed in the required elective course learning stage.The academic achievement standards are developed to carry out the hierarchical evaluation for different stages of transportation learning.The reasons for the changes in curriculum standards are not only the development of transportation itself,but also the matching of the goal of building national strength in transportation and the Belt and Road Initiative,corresponding to the transformation of transportation social history into the paradigm of transportation history research.And it is consistent with the increased emphasis of the reform of history curriculum on key competencies,students’ subject and worldview.The changes in curriculum standards are reflected in changes in content.The compilation of transportation content in the unified high school history textbook mainly focused on the fifth unit of Required Elective Course 2 Transportation and Social Changes.The compilation of the content of this unit presents distinctive characteristics,emphasizing the unity of cohesion and hierarchy in the structural framework,the unity of narration before discussion and the overall sequence in the text compilation,and the unity of worldview and Chinese characteristics,and the unity of richness and applicability in the auxiliary columns.Generally speaking,the compilation of the text content has well implemented the new curriculum standards,reflected the key competencies of the history,highlighted the characteristics of the times,increased the curriculum content that meets the needs of the times and that is close to the real life,and introduced the new achievements of history research.After the analysis of curriculum standard and content,and combined with the relevant unit theme teaching theory,four suggestions are put forward on how to effectively use textbooks to carry out teaching,namely,"closely focus on key issues to implement theme teaching","analyze the basis of learning situation to carry out cohesive teaching","integrate interdisciplinary teaching to practice comprehensive teaching",and "focus on key competencies development and realize evaluation to promote learning",which has certain practical significance.
