| With the growth of education reform in China,there is an increasing amount of literature on volleyball teaching.However,in the face of extensive literature,the following questions arise:What are the external characteristics of volleyball teaching research literature in China between2011 and 2020? What are the research hotspots and frontiers of volleyball teaching research in China? What are the trends of volleyball teaching research in China? What are the issues in the study? How will research be conducted in the future? According to the above research questions,traditional statistical analysis methods frequently necessitate consulting almost all of the literature in this field,and the collation and induction of many documents are time-consuming and laborious.Traditional speculative research methods are easy to induce subjective cognition,researchers will analyze and demonstrate wholly based on their own experience,and the lack of quantitative analysis will be not objective.As a result,this study will construct a comprehensive analysis framework to reveal the essential characteristics and hidden regularity of volleyball teaching research in China from 2011 to 2020.On the one hand,it can make up for relevant deficiencies;on the other hand,it can help to grasp the development and direction of volleyball teaching research in China in recent years and provide a foundation and reference for better promoting the development and innovation of volleyball teaching research.From the historical and present developmental points of view,it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to sort out and summarize current research findings,conduct self-reflection and self-criticism on volleyball teaching research in China,and keep it alive.First of all,this study selected 1750 journal papers about volleyball teaching included in CNKI,Wanfang,and VIP databases from 2011 to 2020 as the objects of investigation.By using the methods of literature data,bibliometrics and content analysis,with the help of Cite Space5.5.R2,BICOMB 2.01 and Excel 2019 software,the literature was quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed.Secondly,the external characteristics of the literature were analyzed from the dimensions of age,journal,fund,author,institution and highly cited literature to have a comprehensive grasp of the existing research as a whole.Thirdly,the literature content and keywords were analyzed in depth,excavated and interpreted research hotspots and frontiers.Finally,based on understanding the development and research progress of volleyball teaching research in China,identified the future development trend,found the existing problems,and proposed solutions to these problems so that the development of volleyball teaching research in China can meet the needs of objective reality.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)By analyzing the external characteristics of the literature,it is found that the development of volleyball teaching research in China is in an increasingly mature period,and the literature growth exhibits a linear growth trend.Journal distribution does not fully comply with Bradford’s law,but consistent with the concentration and discrete distribution of literature information,the core effect of journals is not obvious.The way of fund support is decentralized and spontaneous.The distribution of authors does not conform to Lotka ’s law,colleges and universities are the primary research forces,the number of papers published by authors and institutions is polarized,highly concentrated,and highly dispersed,and the phenomenon of independent research and small groups is apparent.The research topics of the highly cited literature mainly focus on the current state of volleyball teaching and the corresponding countermeasures research,application research of various teaching concepts and teaching methods,feasibility research,and research on cultivating students’ interest in learning.(2)By analyzing the research hotspots and frontiers,it is found that the research hotspots of volleyball teaching in China mainly focus on nine research topics,including volleyball curriculum research,volleyball teaching status and strategy research,volleyball talent training research,volleyball teaching and training research,volleyball sports injury research,volleyball teaching mode research,volleyball teaching method research,volleyball teaching evaluation,and volleyball teaching reform research.The frontiers of volleyball teaching research in China can be divided into two categories: one is the decreasing frontier,including soft volleyball,sports injury,general volleyball course,hard volleyball,and dig;the other is the increasing frontier,including balloon volleyball and teaching strategies.(3)In the future,volleyball teaching research in China will develop towards five trends:volleyball teaching reform research,high-quality volleyball talent training research,network teaching platform assisted volleyball teaching research,“teaching-learning-evaluation”consistency research,and application research of balloon volleyball in school physical education.But there exist some shortcomings,for instance,there is imbalance and difference in research,the research subjects lack continuity and insufficient cooperation,the research lives homogenization phenomenon,the research method employed is single and the expression is not rigorous,and the research content is not deep enough.In order to further improve volleyball teaching research in China,it is necessary to strengthen exchanges and cooperation,expand research perspectives,promote cross-border research,improve research methods,and focus on volleyball teaching modernization. |
