Research On Mobile Phone Use And Social Integration Of Visually Impaired Youth

This study 14-35,visually impaired youth in shandong province as the research object,from the connection of mobile phone use and social integration,according to the current measure social into the three dimensions of economic,social,psychological,try to blend in society is divided into employment,social relationship and identity,to explore the cell phone use for visually impaired youth of these three aspects.Through Questionnaire survey,in-depth interview and observation,the study found the vast majority of visually impaired youth to accept the reality of their disability,on the premise of following the "real me",by mobile phone consumption and network features to groom its image,trying to weaken the reality labeled blind,satisfy the pursuit of self recognition and personalization.The external consumption characteristics of mobile phones,such as mobile phone brand,price and ringtone,have no significant impact on social integration,while the use of mobile phone software and access to mobile phone information can facilitate the life of visually impaired people,and play a positive role in shopping,travel,learning and job hunting,social communication and identity of visually impaired youth.In terms of job hunting and employment,visually impaired youth are more willing to seek jobs after using mobile phones.Mobile phones objectively provide more ways to find jobs and career choices.Social job-hunting groups such as QQ group and wechat group are the most important ways for visually impaired people to find jobs by using mobile phones.However,in essence,mobile phone use does not significantly enhance the career stability and economic income of visually impaired youth.Therefore,at the economic level,mobile phone use does not significantly promote social integration.In terms of social interaction,social interaction is the theme of mobile phone use by visually impaired youth,and their "social awareness" is generally higher than "self-display awareness" when using mobile phones.After the use of mobile phones,the communication initiative of visually impaired people has been improved,and it is very common to communicate and participate in activities through mobile phones,which is a transformation to compensate for the practical mobility inconvenience,and mobile phones play a positive role in the establishment and maintenance of social relations among visually impaired youth.In terms of group identity,mobile social platforms to some extent give visually impaired youth the right to actively choose to participate in the group,so that they are no longer confined to the small circle of the blind.All kinds of online communities can satisfy their diverse group belonging and bring positive emotional feedback.Many visually impaired youth have high recognition of their online communities,which bring them more knowledge,participation opportunities and positive emotions.However,there is a high degree of overlap between the online communities of visually impaired youth and the real communities,and the online communities are still dominated by shallow communication.In general,mobile phones play an instrumental intermediary role,providing economic,social and psychological support and promoting the social integration of visually impaired youth.In general,mobile phones play an instrumental intermediary role,providing economic,social and psychological support,and deepening the social integration degree of visually impaired youth to a certain extent.
