| In recent years, the aging of China’s population has been deepening, and the issue of elderly care has become an urgent and unavoidable social problem. To alleviate the pressure of aging population, community elderly care service becomes an important part of China’s elderly service system, and community elderly care institutions become the main provider of the service. At the same time, since the 18 th National Congress, the cause of aging and the construction of the elderly care service system have been highly valued by the Party, and the high-quality development of the service has become an important direction for optimizing the elderly care service. This study takes elderly care service workers in community as the research object, conducts semi-structured interviews with several service workers to explore their emotional labor input in the process of providing services to the elderly. Then,we use the grounded theory research method to analyze the types of emotional labor input of service workers and the factors affecting emotional labor input, constructs an influence mechanism model to explore the mechanism and logic behind the emotional labor behavior of elderly care service. The study found that the emotional labor input of service workers in community aged care institutions was divided into two types: surface acting and deep acting.Work values motivate service workers to carry out emotional labor;different interaction contexts resulting from interaction feedback, interaction subject characteristics, and rules of emotional display cause service workers to have different types of emotional labor input;outside of interaction, service time and frequency, and work characteristics also influence service workers’ emotional state and degree of emotional labor input;multiple actors, such as service workers, colleagues, and institutions, promote emotional labor engagement through actions such as regulating emotions, providing emotional support, and establishing emotional management systems. Finally, combined with the research findings, this study proposes countermeasures for the optimization and high-quality development of the emotional labor of community aged care institution workers in four aspects. |
