Design And Research Of "Smart+Nursing" App For Community Elderly Care Service

As the trend of population aging continues to deepen,elderly users have become an important user group for mobile application services.However,due to physical and other reasons,elderly users have more significant differences in their needs and usage habits for mobile applications compared to other user groups.Currently,only a few apps on major domestic mobile application markets have been adapted to an elderly-friendly interface and operational logic.Therefore,this article advocates the "user-centered" concept and targets goal-oriented design for elderly users’ unique needs and usage habits in the development of elderly care services apps.This will enable elderly users to fully enjoy the convenience brought by mobile application services,thus generating positive emotional experiences.To begin with,the current status of elderly care services is obtained through data compilation and market research.Among these services,four typical elderly care service APPs are selected and analyzed to identify their advantages and existing problems.At the same time,literature research,survey questionnaires,and user interviews are employed to explore the characteristics of the elderly population and summarize their needs for elderly care services APPs.Further,an aging-friendly user experience model is constructed based on emotional design theory for the interface of the elderly care services APP that targets elderly users.This model includes recognizable icons,readable text,intuitive color,and reasonable layout in the instinctual layer;comprehensive and accurate functionality,easy operation,interactive usability with inclusive feedback in the behavioral layer;sociality,dependency,self-fulfillment,and security in the reflective layer.Finally,typical user profiles and information frameworks are established based on research results and the user experience model,and a reasonable interaction process is designed to ensure easy use by elderly users.The optimal visual communication style that caters to the elderly population is selected,and its design process and standards are standardized to ensure the consistency and maintainability of the APP.Using the emotional experience as an entry point,a small and refined functional design approach is used to complete the "Smart + Nursing" APP design practice.In the process of designing the "Smart + Nursing" APP for community elderly care services that is suitable for elderly users,an aging-friendly user experience model is constructed at the theoretical level.This verifies the feasibility of the design method of community elderly care service APP based on user experience theory,and confirms the positive impact of combining emotional design theory with aging-friendly principles for elderly users.Meanwhile,this APP also provides a reference for the design of mobile application products targeting elderly users.As mobile applications continue to become more aging-friendly,it can increase the social participation of the elderly population and promote the sustainable development of the aging industry.
