Research On Legal Protection Of Face Recognition Information

In the era of big data,face recognition is developing rapidly,constantly bringing new experiences to people.Face recognition technology can quickly obtain face information by using computer technology and can significantly improve work efficiency by processing and analyzing the information.The convenience,non-contact,uniqueness and other technical advantages of face recognition and the current low threshold of use make the application of face recognition technology more and more widely,such as in the public security,traffic verification,financial payment,the entertainment software and so on.However,technology is a double-edged sword,with the brutal growth of facial recognition technology,the space for personal information security will continue to be compressed.Face information is highly sensitive personal information.It is infringed by the barbaric growth of face recognition technology from time to time.It is collected,used,spread and even forged personal identity at will,which threatens citizens’ privacy and property.This paper focuses on how to regulate face recognition technology to strengthen the security protection of personal information.The first chapter mainly discuss the attributes and characteristic of face information as well as the distinguish from other biometric information.According to the purpose of public security,improving traffic efficiency,enhancing the payment and entertainment experience,the wide application scenarios of face recognition has been roughly classified.What’s more,the relationship among face recognition,personal information and privacy rights has been summarized under several theories.The abuse of face recognition information will let out the personal information and personal privacy for its wide use.The second chapter lists the abuse of face recognition information from three aspects: information collection subject risk,big data risk and technical risk.Then the third chapter analyzes the reasons for the abuse of face recognition information,including the lack of legal regulation,the lower technological barriers and illegal cost and the general lack of awareness of protecting the rights of face information.The fourth chapter points out the Enlightenment of the current supervision mode of European and American developed countries to China through the legislation and protection status of face information protection in the EU and the United States,and compares it with the current situation in China.China can draw lessons from the legal regulation experience of the EU and the United States and formulate targeted legal systems in the form of legislation in combination with China’s national conditions.The fifth chapter is mainly about the discussion of the protection measures of face recognition information.It mainly discusses the protection of this technology in the application process through different subject perspectives in order to let face information technology in continuous development and at the same time continue to benefit the society on the track of norms.
