With the acceleration of the process of globalization,China has become more and more closely connected with countries around the world,not only in economic and political cooperation,but also in cultural and artistic exchanges.People in the art field in China have focused their attention on Western musicals and have been exploring and learning the art form of musicals for a long time.The independently created musical "Butterfly" in China was performed in Beijing in 2007,causing considerable repercussions at home and abroad.It has been invited by many foreign countries to produce it,reaching the peak of domestic original musicals.Exceeding previous achievements and starting to move internationally,he has won many honors,which are regarded by industry insiders as a milestone in the history of Chinese musicals.This article takes the aria "Why Let Me Fall in Love with You" in the musical "Butterfly" as the main research object,briefly introduces the creative team and plot of the musical "Butterfly",and analyzes the character images of the heroine.Deeply explore the musical structure and singing methods of the aria "Why Let Me Love You",and analyze its role and significance in "Butterfly"."Why Let Me Fall in Love with You" is one of the important aria of the heroine Zhu Yingtai in the play,and it is the most complex aria with the most emotional changes.At the same time,the singing of this aria is also very difficult.Therefore,studying and analyzing its artistic characteristics can help the author better understand and express musical works,and promote the progress of integration between different singing methods.A comprehensive analysis of the aria techniques and stage effects is of great benefit to the singer’s in-depth analysis and interpretation of this work from their perspective.
