Study Of Material Characteristics Of Sound In Contemporary Art

In today’s diversified art forms,sound,as a kind of material,plays a crucial role in the development of contemporary art.It not only provides new elements for artistic creation,but also realizes a breakthrough in the audience’s perception.With the development of contemporary art forms,concepts and technologies,the ways of sound and timbre expression in artistic works have gradually become diversified,and their own unique construction techniques have also been formed.According to the research idea,this paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter explains the diversified development trend of materials and the general situation of sound in the context of contemporary art.In the second chapter,the author combs the ways of sound and summarizes them into five categories.The third chapter is divided into two parts,one is the expression of timbre,the other is the construction technique of sound.In timbre performance,the change of timbre is studied by different solid materials.In the construction technique of sound,the paper studies and demonstrates it from four aspects: sensory,time,space and context.With the development of sound in contemporary art as a clue,this paper studies and sorts out a large number of relevant cases,classifies the vocal approach and timbre expression in the works,and summarizes the construction techniques of sound.This paper attempts to find more possibilities of sound in contemporary art,explore the dilemma it faces,seek the future development direction from the known history,and explore its opportunities and challenges in China.
