Sound Elements In The Documentaries On Hearing Impaired Subjects

Sound is one of the important elements for documentaries to express emotion.Sound creation is an inevitable part of documentary production.This paper explores the sound application ideas of the graduation work Utopia,and analyzes how to use sound to build the real space of the silent world of the hearing-impaired,so as to reproduce the inner state and emotional expression of the characters.At the same time,it discusses how the sound elements that have not been paid attention to for a long time can complement the visual narrative and realize the externalization of the characters’ soul and the appreciation of narrative emotion.This paper attempts to explore the innovative strategy and breakthrough of the use of sound elements in the documentary on hearing-impaired subjects,and further explore the creative significance and social value of the documentary on the characters of hearing-impaired groups.
