Research On The Creation Of Zhao Jiping's "Symphony Of Feng, Ya And Song

In 2019,coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 40 th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up,Zhao Jiping was commissioned by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese Musicians’ Association,and with admiration for traditional Chinese culture,he drew nourishment from excellent traditional culture to compose a large-scale orchestral suite for folk orchestra-"Symphony of Feng ya song ".The whole piece is divided into five movements,with some representative themes selected from China’s early poetry collection "Shi Jing" and "Tang Poetry",and using the national orchestra as a carrier,fusing western composition techniques with the unique national musical language,eulogizing the new era of China and expressing its musical artistic pursuit with national sentiment.This paper studies the work from two levels: the cultural connotation of Fengya Songoing and musical composition,focusing on its compositional techniques,taking the structure of the piece as the starting point,analyzing the development of its thematic motive and the fusion of the melody of "Three Blossoms of the Plum Blossom",as well as using various analytical methods to analyze its harmony and orchestration techniques,so as to further grasp the composer’s creative thinking and technical use,and provide reference for the creation of large-scale folk orchestral works.
