| The continuous progress of society cannot be separated from the development of scientific and technological innovation,so people pay more and more attention to the research of creativity.Generally speaking,when people think of creativity,they always think of its positive and beneficial side,but creativity can also be maliciously applied to harm others or society,which is malevolent creativity.Existing studies have shown that emotion is an important factor affecting malevolent creativity.As an individual cognitive factor,regulation emotion self-efficacy has an important impact on emotion regulation.Whether people’s confidence in their own emotion regulation will affect the mechanism of malevolent creativity remains unclear.In view of college students as an important force for the development of the country and society,how to prevent college students from maliciously applying creativity deserves attention.In addition,emotional resilience,as an emotional regulation ability to adapt to the environment,is also an important individual factor.Therefore,this study combined quantitative research and qualitative research to explore the relationship between emotional resilience in regulation emotion self-efficacy and malevolent creativity,as well as the role of emotional resilience in it.In study 1,513 college students from five universities in Jiangxi and Guangdong Province were investigated by questionnaire,regulation emotion self-efficacy scale,adolescent emotional resilience questionnaire and malevolent creative behavior scale to understand the status quo of college students’ regulation emotion self-efficacy,emotional resilience and malevolent creativity.To explore the relationship between regulation emotion self-efficacy,emotional resilience and malevolent creativity.Study 2 interviewed 14 students with high or low levels of malevolent creativity to understand their performance in regulation emotion self-efficacy,emotional resilience and malevolent creativity,and found the mechanism of emotional resilience in regulation emotion self-efficacy and malevolent creativity.In order to intervene malevolent creativity from the perspective of regulation emotion self-efficacy and emotional resilience in the future,it provides a direction.The results show that:(1)College students’ regulation emotion self-efficacy is different in terms of gender,grade and family location;emotional resilience is different in terms of gender,grade,family location and whether they are the only child;malicious creativity is different in terms of gender and whether they are the only child.(2)Regulation emotion self-efficacy and its dimensions were negatively correlated with malevolent creativity,and positively correlated with emotional resilience and its dimensions.Emotional resilience and its dimensions are negatively correlated with malevolent creativity.(3)Regulation emotion self-efficacy can significantly predict emotional resilience in a positive way and malicious creativity in a negative way.Emotional resilience can significantly negatively predict malevolent creativity.Emotional resilience completely mediates the relationship between emotional regulation self-efficacy and malevolent creativity.(4)College students’ regulation emotion self-efficacy is manifested by experiencing and expressing positive emotions and experiencing and regulating negative emotions;college students’ emotional resilience is mainly manifested by generating positive emotions and recovering emotions;college students’ malicious creativity is mainly manifested by malicious lying,malicious hurting and malicious playing tricks.(5)The regulation emotion self-efficacy of college students can affect their emotional resilience through the application of emotional regulation strategies(cognitive adjustment strategies,distraction strategies,and support seeking strategies),thus affecting the generation of malicious creativity.The results show that the regulation emotion self-efficacy of college students cannot directly affect malevolent creativity,but can only affect malevolent creativity through emotional resilience.This indicates that it is not enough for individuals to have confidence in emotion regulation,but also need to master the ability corresponding to emotion regulation,so as to better reduce the emergence of malevolent creativity.Therefore,from the level of school,parents and individuals,we can improve the regulation emotion self-efficacy of college students,pay attention to the cultivation of emotional regulation skills of college students,improve the level of emotional resilience,and reduce malicious creativity. |
