Song of Bashu Mountain is the fourth suite in the Chinese Folk Song,which is adapted by composer Zhu Peibin from Bao Yuankai’s orchestral music The Chinese Folk Song Theme Twenty-four Orchestral Pieces.There are four songs in the Song of Bashu Mountain,which are: 1.When will the Sophora Blossom? 2.When will the Yellow Poplar Pole be carried? 3.Each piece of work features a unique,unique.The composer used western composing techniques for reference in his creation and realized the organic integration of Chinese folk music and western composing techniques.This paper discusses from three parts,one is to analyze the creation background of the work and the principles of the adaptation of the work;Second,it analyzes the characteristics of music creation,including the musical structure and music connotation,national melody,national harmony and so on.Thirdly,it summarizes the main performance characteristics of each piece in the suite and analyzes the playing skills.This paper provides theoretical and practical basis for the study of Bao Yuankai and Zhu Peibin’s music creation,learning and performance.
