A Study On Locke’s Thought Of Property Justice

John Locke was a famous English philosopher,politician and educator in the 17 th century,as well as one of the most influential political scientists and jurists in modern Western history.In Locke’s power system,property right,life right and liberty constitute the sacred and inviolable individual power.Locke’s thought of property justice closely combines property right and human rights and elevates them to a very important height,laying an important foundation for western human rights thought and property theory.In history,the concept of "justice" appeared before the concept of "power",as early as ancient Greece,whether justice has become a reasonable evaluation standard of power.The important power of "property right",which is related to the division of private property and public property,the guarantee of human rights,social transformation and well-being of people’s livelihood,is particularly important whether it has justice.Starting from the innate theory of human rights,Locke systematically expounded his theory of property.His demonstration of property justice is not only the theoretical support of Glorious Revolution,It also provided The theoretical basis for The French Revolution and The American Revolutionary War.Locke demonstrated the origin of the thought of property justice,the scale of division and the justice of property security,and established a set of property justice thought based on religion and theology.This theory promotes the freedom of human beings,affirms the independent status of human beings,and also restricts the functions of the government,which has positive and progressive significance.Although there are theoretical limitations in Locke’s attribution of the source of property justice to natural law and God,it is undeniable that the respect for human rights and personal liberation presented by Locke’s view of property justice promotes the transformation of government functions at the theoretical level.On the practical level,combing and exploring Locke’s property justice issue has an important enlightenment effect on China,which is in the critical period of socialist transformation and still suffers from unbalanced and inadequate development,and can provide theoretical nourishment for China’s property view and the improvement of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
