The extensive and profound Chinese culture have aroused the interest and hobby among numerous foreigners to learn Chinese culture,more and more students begin to study the Chinese language,they appreciate the unique charm of the Chinese culture in the process of learning the Chinese language.Thus,teaching materials are necessary for learning Chinese,so it is very important to have a good teaching material for teaching.In the comparative study of textbooks,most of the scholars choose the commonly used textbooks of Chinese as a foreign language,such as New practical Chinese textbooks,Experience Chinese and so on.At the same time,it cannot be ignored that with the development of Chinese economy,the demand for short-term Chinese learning among students in China has been increasing in recent years.These students who are engaged in short-term Chinese learning are more in need of a suitable textbook as an aid,in order to achieve complete a simple daily simple communication in a short period of time with the oral Chinese.Vocabulary plays an important role in a textbook.The vocabulary in the textbook is not only the key point of teaching but also the key point of learning,therefore,it is very important and necessary to make a comparative study of the vocabulary in the textbooks.As short-term accelerated teaching classic oral Chinese textbooks,Shorter-term Spoken English(3rd edition)and Conversational Chinese 301(4th edition)have many translations,which have been praised by both teachers and students once published.Therefore,this paper chooses these two sets of accelerated Chinese textbooks to study,in order to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two textbooks in vocabulary arrangement,to provide reference for future revision,adjustment,and to provide teachers with teaching suggestions.This paper was consisted of seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly explains the reason for the topic selection,the purpose and significance of the research.The definition of accelerated Chinese teaching,the research of accelerated Chinese elementary textbooks,the research summary of accelerated Chinese elementary spoken Chinese textbooks,the main research content,innovation and research methods.The second chapter introduces and summarizes the style of the two sets of textbooks and the value of the research,which is a brief overview of the object of comparison in this paper.The third chapter makes a comparative study and analysis of the total amount of vocabulary in the textbook and the grade of vocabulary,makes a statistical analysis of the total vocabulary of each volume and lesson of the textbook,and then analyzes the rationality of the setting of the vocabulary of the textbook and puts forward suggestions.The fourth chapter makes a statistical explanation of the repetition of vocabulary in the textbook.Firstly,it introduces the relevant theories of the repetition rate of vocabulary,and then statistics the recurrence rate of 0,1,1-6 and more than 6 respectively.The fifth chapter is a comparative analysis of the vocabulary practice of the textbook,expounds the significance of the exercise and statistics of the two sets of textbooks appeared in the vocabulary exercise questions comparative analysis of the two sets of textbooks their respective exercise characteristics,and then through the comparative analysis of teaching suggestions;Chapter six analyzes the textbook lexical annotation,statistics the main types and errors of lexical annotation,and analyzes the errors.The seventh chapter is the summary chapter,which is a simple summary of the full text.
