| With the process of modernization and the currently comprehensive and profound social transformation,people’s view of life has changed.On the one hand,people care more about their physical fitness,on the other hand,lots of people feel at loss concerned with meaning of life.Medical documentaries are essentially concerned with life and death issues and contain various views of life.By interpreting the life views in Chinese medical documentaries since the new century,this paper analyzes its narrative expression to explore the guiding role of medical documentaries on the correct view of life.This thesis is mainly consisted of four chapters.In the first chapter,I interpret the concept of life view and medical documentary,summarize its development stages,and analyze the relationship between life view and medical documentaries.For the second chapter,from the prospect of ontology of life and life values,I analyze what are the views of life presented by Chinese medical documentaries.In terms of the ontology of life,the Chinese medical documentary considers life as both nature-being and social-being.It reminds people the corporeality of human body,highlighting the physical attributes of life.In terms of life values,from the three aspects of natural value,social value and spiritual value of life,Chinese documentaries present life values as the importance of physical fitness,love and kindness in family and society,and the tenacity of life in face of ruthless disease and death.In chapter 3,I analyze the narration of the life view of domestic medical documentaries from three aspects.They are narrative perspective,narrative structure,and audio-visual language.In the fourth chapter,I reflect on the presentation of the concept of life in the current medical documentary.They express the authentical meaning of life by recording the experiences of living to death as well as the perception and reflection about the meaning of life of ordinary people. |
