In chamber music, the piano trio has a rather important place. The resonant and inclusive piano, the subtle, elegant and exquisite violin, and the thick and somber cello, which are complementary and layered, creating an extremely rich and moving aural feast. The piano trio has its origins in the Baroque period, and the constant refinement and progress of later musicians’ innovations have allowed for a great development of the piano trio subject form.Johannes Brahms(1833-1897),one of the most important German composers of the 19 th century.Brahms has a total of three works on the subject of piano trios. The Piano Trio in B Major is his first work with a piano trio subject, published and composed in early 1953,establishing his early musical style, and in his later years, specifically in 1891,he made modifications to add many Romantic musical style, making the work have the appearance of the Classical period style and the inner Romantic style. This essay uses the 1891 revision of Brahms’ Piano Trio in B major as an example to analyze the composer’s musical style, the technical fragments of the violin performance, the playing techniques and the coordination between the various instrumental parts in the trio, and to provide a reference for violinists in their practice and performance of the piano trio.
