A Study On The Acquisition Of Chinese Evaluation Languages | | Posted on:2024-09-11 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:F Li | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2555307049987539 | Subject:Chinese international education | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | The evaluative function of language is commonly found in various language items.For native speakers,it is easy to sense the semantic and pragmatic messages conveyed by different evaluation items,but for Chinese learners it may not be as easy to distinguish them due to the lack of cultural context.In this thesis,we examine the characteristics of three evaluation items which are "quite good","too good" and "extremely good" in modern Chinese from the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic perspectives,analyze the bias that international students make when acquiring these three evaluation items and propose corresponding teaching suggestions for international Chinese education.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Chapter 1 is devoted to explaining the reasons for the selection of the topic and its significance,reviewing the existing research,describing the research idea and the research method,and introducing the sources of the corpus.Chapter 2 compares the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic features of the three evaluation items "quite good","too good" and "extremely good" by analyzing and examining the modern Chinese corpus.Chapter 3 analyses the acquisition and bias of the three evaluation item by examining the corpus and questionnaires.Chapter 4 proposes some relevant teaching and learning suggestions.based on the characteristics of the three evaluation items found in Chapters 2 and the biases of international students found in Chapter 3.Chapter 5 concludes with a summary of the research process and findings of this paper,explaining the innovations and shortcomings of this paper,and suggesting ideas for further research. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Evaluation terms, Quite good, Too good, Extremely good, Teaching suggestions | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
