| TPRS teaching method is a teaching method extended and developed on the basis of TPR teaching,it retains the TPR teaching method of teaching with body language,and at the same time pioneered "Learning language in the form of storytelling",recurring questions,building stories,and learning happily are its distinctive features.In August 2021,the author was dispatched to Thailand to conduct offline Chinese language teaching.After several months of teaching practice,the following conclusion was drawn: the lively teaching form of TPRS teaching method has a high matching degree with the active personality characteristics of Thai students.And this teaching method is easy to create a relaxed classroom environment,attract students’ attention,increase comprehensible input,and has been effectively applied in the teaching of primary Chinese language in Thailand.This article takes the TPRS teaching method as the theoretical basis and designs a teaching plan for Thai Chinese primary comprehensive courses,which is a beneficial exploration for offline teaching of Thai primary Chinese.Taking the "MEP" class of junior high school in Kukan as the experimental object,the teaching environment,teaching objects,and textbooks were analyzed,teaching objectives were determined,teaching steps were designed,deficiencies were identified,and teaching evaluations and reflections were conducted.My own teaching suggestions were proposed to provide case studies for offline Chinese comprehensive course teaching in Thailand after the epidemic.This article is divided into four parts: The first part introduces the research background and significance of the topic.Summarized the research status of TPRS teaching method,basic comprehensive courses of Chinese as a foreign language,and Thai Chinese language teaching,and established a research framework;The second part explains the connotation,characteristics,teaching procedures,and adaptability analysis of TPRS teaching method applied in Thai classrooms;The third part is the specific teaching design,which focuses on the characteristics of TPRS teaching method.In the vocabulary section,various methods such as body parts,pictures,and translation are used to ensure that students receive comprehensible input.The text adopts the "story inquiry method",with teachers asking questions and students enriching the story framework.Classroom activities allow students to read and write while telling stories;The final section evaluates all teaching activities,discusses the gains and losses of this teaching activity,and provides suggestions. |
