Analysis Of The Characterization Of The "witch" In The Original Family Musical "The Secret Candy Factory

For musical actors,characterization is an extremely important part of the creative process.Characterization is not only related to the life and soul of the characters on the stage,but also directly affects the overall presentation of the play.Therefore,character shaping is particularly important in the process of musical creation.This article focuses on the original ensemble musical The Mystic Candy Factory,which was adapted and reworked from the Western fairy tale The Candy House and premiered at Shanghai Theatre in 2018.As the author played the role of "witch" in the play and experienced the creation and rehearsal personally,as the shaper of the role,I have a deep understanding and experience of this role.This paper as a practical nature of the paper,combined with the arrangement and performance experience,is divided into three parts to describe.The first part discusses the creation background and plot outline of the play,the second part discusses the shaping of "witch",the third part discusses the thinking after the practice of the original musical "mysterious candy factory".
