Patriotism education is a basic project with strategic significance.As the core group receiving patriotism education,youths,as the core group of receiving patriotism education,improve the pertinence of patriotism education,which is not only conducive to young people to establish a correct view of the country,nation,culture and history,It also helps to inspire young people to find self-worth and establish a correct outlook on life and values.Since ancient times,innovation has been the inexhaustible driving force for a nation to maintain its vitality,and it is also the spiritual pursuit in the field of education today.The combination of the rapid development of digital technology and teaching content can enrich the types of education carriers and innovate the methods and means of education.Compared with the traditional teaching form,the digital learning form will significantly improve the learning effect.As an important product of the combination of information technology and education and teaching in recent years,educational games can not only shorten the distance between students and knowledge,teachers and schools,but also cultivate students’ self-directed learning,exploration and reflection.ability.The digital form of patriotic education is the characteristic of the current education era.Based on this,this paper will explore the design connotation and research direction of patriotic educational games for teenagers by constructing a mental model strategy for adolescent users,integrating situational learning strategies and an entertainment-education balance strategy.This paper firstly sorts out and summarizes three aspects: the current situation of patriotism education for teenagers at home and abroad,the development status of patriotism education games,and the application status of patriotism education games for teenagers.The advantages and disadvantages of youth patriotism education under the traditional model.Secondly,the characteristics of patriotic educational games and the design strategies of patriotic educational games are used as theoretical basis to determine the functions that patriotic educational games should have.Third,based on the theoretical guidance of the user’s mental model,the integrated situational learning theory,and the educational and entertaining nature of educational games,a mental model strategy,an integrated situational learning strategy,and an entertainment-education balance strategy suitable for youth patriotism educational games are constructed.Build a complete patriotic educational game design framework.Fourth,according to the construction of the patriotic education game design framework,design and develop the patriotic education game "Dream Eight Team" for teenagers.Starting from the fundamental purpose of youth patriotism education,the educational theme and content of the game are proposed,and the game background,character scenes,level tasks,functional elements,game rules and game interaction are described in detail.Finally,through the game usability test,analyze the game experience and educational effect of "Dream Team",and adjust and improve it.Through the flexibility and tolerance of its functions and modes of educational games,it scientifically and reasonably makes up for the shortcomings of the traditional youth patriotism education model,such as rigidity and single method,and effectively plays a positive role in guiding the patriotism of the youth group.
