With the rapid development of space-time science theory and Internet technology,domestic time loop-themed TV series have ushered in a development opportunity,with a number of excellent works appearing and a significant rise in market influence.As a subgenre of fantasy theme,time loop takes the main character’s repeated experience of the same event as the main content,and through the main character’s breakthrough behavior with the goal of breaking the time loop,it uses game thinking,game rules,game levels and other game-related elements,integrates social and cultural value expression,enhances the audience’s participation and interactivity,and constructs a game-based narrative mode.This dissertation combines the theories of gamology and narrative science,takes domestic time-loop TV series as the research object,and adopts literature research method and case study method to investigate the gamification narrative mode of domestic TV series on this topic.This dissertation is divided into five chapters to discuss the gamification narrative of domestic time-loop TV series.The first chapter analyzes the background and significance of this dissertation and the current situation of domestic and foreign research,and explores the innovation of this study.Chapter 2analyzes the development of the existing domestic time-loop TV dramas and understands the reasons for the rise of time-loop works in China.At the same time,it explores the reasons for the use of this narrative mode in time-loop TV dramas in conjunction with the theory of gamification narrative,and clarifies the gamification characteristics of the time-loop theme.Chapter 3 analyzes the thematic presentation of the gamification narrative of domestic time-loop drama series.Through the introduction of the game model,the basic setting of the time-loop puzzle is generated and the exploration of the puzzle is promoted by the way of breaking through the levels;through the embedding of the game mechanism,the time-loop is mirrored with the archiving and resetting in the game,and the triggering and unfolding process of the core proposition of the time-loop is gamified.Through the derivation and transcendence of the game’s intention,the propositions of survival choice and social value are interpreted.Chapter 4 analyzes the gamification narrative of domestic time-loop drama from the perspective of spatio-temporal architecture.On the one hand,it plays a role in boosting the narrative of the drama by virtue of the looped time under the plot setting and the restricted time under the constraints of the rules;on the other hand,it builds a gamified narrative space through the architecture of geographic space,character emotional space and viewing space,so as to explore the gamification mode of domestic time-loop drama and the gamification mode of the drama.On the other hand,through the structure of geographic space,characters’ emotional space and viewing space,a gamified narrative space is built,thus exploring the gamification mode and inner meaning of domestic time loop drama.Chapter 5 is a reflection on the gamification narrative of domestic time-loop drama series.Through analyzing the current situation of the gamification narrative of domestic time-loop drama series,we explore its development dilemma and propose the future development direction.It provides a new direction for the innovative development of domestic TV dramas while contributing to the further development of time-loop drama.
