The teaching of Chinese characters has always been the focus of the research on teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Although great achievements have been made in the teaching of Chinese characters in recent years,it is still worth discussing how to strengthen the pertinence of Chinese character teaching and improve the effect of Chinese character teaching.In recent years,with China’s growing national strength,the number of overseas Chinese learners has increased,and the age of learners has also shown a phenomenon of younger age.Overseas children have become a huge group of Chinese learners.As the writing symbol system of recording Chinese,Chinese characters have their own uniqueness and huge subject,but because Chinese characters are difficult to learn and teach,the teaching methods of Chinese characters for overseas children have been in constant exploration.As the carrier of Chinese,Chinese characters are an indispensable part of Chinese teaching,and their importance is gradually highlighted with the advancement of the teaching of Chinese as a second language.This thesis bases itself on the analysis of overseas children’s psychological cognitive characteristics,the learning characteristics and the teaching methods commonly used in the teaching of Chinese characters,such as “component teaching method”,“word theory teaching method”,“text-based teaching method” and“centralized teaching method”.Combined with the teaching practice of my own optimization summary of the course,the thesis selects the commonly used textbook Chinese Course(Volume 1)in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The textbook is the object of teaching design,and the overseas children learners with zero level of Chinese are the teaching objects.A total of 205 Chinese characters that need to be mastered in the textbook are selected as the main teaching content,which is demonstrated in a total of 23 sample sessions of Chinese character teaching.Under the guidance of the three teaching objectives of “cultivating the sense of characters”,“recognizing characters” and “writing characters”,this thesis adopts a variety of teaching methods,follows the principle of “letting students quickly recognize and memorize Chinese characters”,and designs a set of specific Chinese character teaching programs for Chinese Course(Volume 1).It is hoped that the teaching plan in this thesis can help students eliminate the fear of difficulties in learning Chinese characters,and provide an exploration and idea for solving the problem of “difficult Chinese characters”.
