| Since the prevalence of consumerism,the relationship between aesthetics and economy has become an important topic in the field of aesthetic research.The transformation of the relationship between aesthetics and capital from opposition to complicity implies that the proliferation of capital has shifted from the production field to the consumption field,and aesthetics has gradually become the driving factor of capital development.As a result,a wave called "Aesthetic Capitalism" gradually formed in the West.With the rise of the The Critical Theory of Social Acceleration and the spatial turn movement,and the emergence of mass media,the spatio-temporal structure of society has taken on a new character.Therefore,this paper focuses on "Aesthetic Capitalism" to further point out the unique spatio-temporal aesthetic characteristics of aesthetic capitalism.The paper is divided into four parts.The first chapter explores the concept of Aesthetic Capitalism,which is the result of the need for capital to constantly innovate itself through aesthetics and the need for aesthetics to depend on capital to penetrate into daily life,and capital and aesthetics move from opposition to complicity.Aesthetics and capital themselves have their own spatio-temporal characteristics,and Aesthetic Capitalism has taken on a new spatio-temporal aesthetic character after its integration.By defining the concept of Aesthetic Capitalism,this chapter delineates the boundaries of aesthetic capitalism’s spatio-temporal aesthetics.The second chapter explores the "accelerated" temporal aesthetics of Aesthetic Capitalism.The accelerated nature of capital is also a distinctive feature of Aesthetic Capitalism.Aesthetic Capitalism under accelerated time is characterized by the rapid production and consumption of goods and the control of the subject’s leisure time for the enjoyment of beauty.At the same time,accelerated time also leads to a series of aesthetic consequences,such as rapid aesthetic pleasure at the individual level and aesthetic alienation at the social level.The third chapter explores the aesthetic characteristics of the "spectacle" space of Aesthetic Capitalism.Aesthetic Capitalism uses the space of capital to create a special "consumption spectacle",and achieves the integration of aesthetic capital and space through the construction of large shopping malls and the promotion of visual economy.At the same time,the spatial characteristics of Aesthetic Capitalism are characterized by the spatial production of aestheticized goods at the level of commodities and the phenomenon of dividing classes by aesthetic interests at the level of subjects.The fourth chapter explores the image of the Cyberflaneur under the spatio-temporal combination of Aesthetic Capitalism.In the stage of Aesthetic Capitalism,the new spatio-temporal characteristics are manifested in the pursuit of accelerated media time and the combination of virtual and real cyberspace.In this context,viewers who construct subjectivity in terms of media are born,laboring in leisure and transforming their visual and aesthetic activities directly into economic interests,leading to the destruction of the aesthetic perception of the real world by the Cyberflaneur.Finally,by tracing the image of the flaneur in Benjamin’s writing,we reflect on the aesthetic situation of the present-day Cyberflaneur. |
