| With the coming of knowledge information era,it is very beneficial for crosscultural workers to understand cultural differences.It can improve cross-cultural awareness,avoid cultural conflicts caused by regional differences and heterogeneous cultures,and thus improve their work efficiency.The translator chose the Exploring Culture as the source text of this translation task.By listing a series of short stories related to cross-culture and giving relevant exercises,Exploring Culture skillfully links cultural theory with learning practice,and introduces cultural similarities and differences from five dimensions,i.e,identity,hierarchy,gender,truth and virtue.From that people can learn more about different cultures and intercultural communication strategies to improve their cross-cultural working ability.Guided by Vermeer’s translation Skopos theory,this translation practice takes the Exploring Culture as the research object.The translator analyzes the difficulties encountered in the translation from the Skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule,and fully considers the transformation of language and learns to how to accurately convey the original intention of author so as to realize the accessibility and clear meaning of the translation.In addition,the translator hopes to introduce cultural differences to cross-cultural workers through the translation of Exploring Culture,so as to attract more people to pay attention to intercultural knowledge.At the same time,translator also hopes that this translation task can provide reference for translators of similar texts in the future. |
