The incidence of non-suicidal NSSI among adolescents is increasing year by year,and NSSI has become a public health event of global concern.Non-suicidal NSSI is the leading factor of suicide,which is more common in adolescence and has become the biggest hidden trouble threatening adolescent mental health problems.How to help teenagers reduce NSSI and improve their mental health has become the focus of the country and mental health educators.Previous studies have shown that childhood abuse and neglect have a great impact on adolescent NSSI,but researchers have paid little attention to neglect,which is a more insidious subtype of abuse.Childhood neglect will lead to problems in adolescents’ internal psychological adaptation and external interpersonal relationship,which may be the cause of their NSSI behavior.The expectation of negative emotion regulation in individual internal psychological adaptation plays an important role in adolescents’ emotion regulation under adverse experience.Parent-child relationship and social support in external interpersonal support,as important factors affecting the psychological development of adolescents,can not only provide material help for adolescents,but also provide emotional and emotional support.This study explored the relationship between childhood neglect and adolescent NSSI from internal factors such as negative emotion regulating expectation and self-esteem.At the same time,it is very important to discuss the relationship between childhood neglect and NSSI from external support factors such as social support and parent-child relationship.In study 1,Studies a childhood maltreatment scale ignore subscales,negative emotion regulation scale,self-esteem scale and adolescent self-injury scale from individual internal psychological adaptation of a two junior high school in Gansu province,the questionnaire survey to 832 participants understand childhood neglect,negative emotion regulation is expected,self-esteem,the present situation of the selfinjury,discusses the relationship between variables;In study 2,832 subjects from two junior middle schools in Gansu province were surveyed by using the neglect scale of childhood abuse Scale,adolescent Social support Scale,parent-child affinity Scale and adolescent NSSI scale from the aspect of individual external support,to understand the status quo of adolescent social support and parent-child relationship,and to explore the relationship between variables.In study 3,based on study 1 and Study 2,qualitative research method was adopted to interview 7 students from a middle school in Qingcheng County,and further explore the correlation between variables.The findings:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between childhood neglect and adolescent NSSI;There is a significant negative correlation between the expectation of negative emotion regulation and adolescents’ NSSI;There was a significant negative correlation between childhood neglect and negative emotion regulation expectation.Selfesteem has a significant negative correlation with childhood neglect and adolescent NSSI,and a significant positive correlation with negative emotion regulation expectations.(2)Negative emotion regulation expectation plays a partially mediating role in the influence of childhood neglect on adolescents’ NSSI;Adolescents’ self-esteem level regulates the latter half of the path of neglecting the influence of negative emotion regulation expectation on NSSI in childhood.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between childhood neglect and adolescent NSSI;There is a significant negative correlation between parent-child relationship and adolescent NSSI.There is a significant negative correlation between social support and childhood neglect and adolescent NSSI,and a significant positive correlation between social support and parent-child relationship.(4)The level of social support played a partial mediating role in the influence of childhood neglect on parent-child relationship;The mediating effect of parent-child relationship neglect on adolescents’ NSSI behavior in childhood was not significant.(5)Qualitative research results show that childhood neglect of negative sexual life experience has an impact on the individual’s internal psychological adaptation and external interpersonal relationship,and further reveal the influencing factors.The results show that there are not only internal psychological factors but also external interpersonal support factors affecting adolescent NSSI.In the face of the negative life event of childhood neglect,adolescents with good ability to regulate negative emotions and expectations,social support and high self-esteem are less likely to develop NSSI,which also suggests that researchers should pay attention to these factors as protective factors of NSSI in their daily life.
