Online teaching of Chinese as a second language is an activity related to Teaching Chinese as a second language through the media of the Internet,which conforms to the development trend of the Internet era and meets the requirements of online teaching in the context of COVID-19.The main battlefield of TCSL online teaching is TCSL websites and TCSL applications.Due to the late start of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in China,the research in many aspects is not sufficient,so the relevant platform as the main battlefield of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has high research value.According to the size and developers,TCSL websites can be divided into large TCSL websites(such as Chinese Plus)and medium-sized TCSL websites(such as New Concept Mandarin).The former has higher authority and richer content,while the latter has more quantity but lacks authority.According to the content of the website,it can be divided into auxiliary classes(such as Intergraded Chinese Multimedia Exercises),comprehensive resources(such as Center for Language Education and Cooperation),courses(such as PPtutor),topics(such as Arch Chinese),portals(such as Sapore di Cina)and tools(such as On-line Chinese Tools).Through the statistics and comparative analysis of website visits,it can be found that the Sino-Foreign language exchange and Cooperation center has more development potential and has more advantages in curriculum,page design,resource presentation and other aspects,which is worth learning from other websites.TCSL APPS can be divided into autonomous learning and interactive learning.Autonomous learning can be divided into tools(such as Pleco),tests(such as HSK assistant),culture(such as the beauty of poetry),skills training(such as Chinese strokes),and comprehensive resources(such as Man Mandarin).Interactive learning can be divided into assisted online teaching(such as Tencent conference)and course learning(such as PPtutor).PPtutor focuses on online Chinese education for Chinese children with a clear positioning and teaching philosophy,and makes good use of star power.Selecting Man Mandarin and PPtutor as the objects of case analysis can better demonstrate the advantages of these two apps and provide reference suggestions for other apps of the same type.The advantages of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language are to break the time and space constraints,promote the transformation of teaching patterns and maximize the utilization of Chinese teaching resources.The disadvantages are single course types,lack of construction of auxiliary modules,and unclear classification and navigation.In order to play a better role of the platform,we should enrich the types of courses,increase the retrieval and navigation functions and strengthen the construction of auxiliary sections.
