| Artist In Residency have a long history of development and mature operation system abroad.In recent years,some art institutions and art spaces in China have started to set up artist residences,which has become a new choice for art creators on their career path.The creation method of resident art creation has gradually become clear in the prosperity and development of artist residence,but it is still unclear,so it is rarely discussed separately.But in the field of public art,resident creation has always been one of the important ways of practice.Nowadays,the concepts of public participation,field characteristics,place spirit and so on have gradually become the new hot spots of public art theory research,and some artists at home and abroad have explored and applied these new concepts in their creative practice.Taking public art as the research scope,this paper focuses on the creation method of resident art creation,and the public participation in public art as the concern point,aiming to study how to apply and present the public participation in the practice of resident creation in public art.This paper sorts out the development of art residence by collecting data,discusses the definition of residence creation by comparison and induction,classifies the types of residence art creation by analyzing cases,and makes a theoretical overview of residence art creation.On this basis,combined with the relevant theory of "public participation",this paper makes a case analysis and comparative analysis of the typical cases of public art resident creation and the author’s practice cases,studies the forms and specific manifestations of public participation in public art resident creation,and discusses the application of resident creation in public art practice and the advantages of "public participation".The article hopes to attract more attention from public art creators and choose the creation method of resident art creation.Its unique advantages in public participation may make it known as an efficient practice method conducive to the production of high-quality public art. |
