Simulation And Reality In Realistic Painting

French philosopher Jean Baudrillard analyzed the relationship between simulation and reality in human society in his book Simulacra and Simulation.He believed that in today’ s society,the boundary between simulation and reality has become more and more blurred,and it is even difficult to distinguish.We receive more and faster information,and the media construct simulation of the same event for people in different regions.People will get the simulation from the media into their cognition of the reality,so that the simulation and the reality exchange places.The author believes that before the popularization of newspaper and television media,realistic painting was an important media in the process of information transmission.The royal family and aristocrats swore their powe r through it,the church spread its doctrine through it,and biologists recorded samples through it...The artist simulates the reality in front of him,and the result of the simulation is the painting itself.In this paper,the author intends to analyze the simul at ion and reality in realistic paintin g from the perspective of informationization,and guide his own painting practice through profound analysis.This article co nsists of three parts.The first part takes "Poussin’ s Box" in art history as an example to start a preliminary discussion on simulation and reality;The second part discusses the relationship between simulation and reality,and further analyzes the simulation and reality in realistic painting.The third part leads to today’s "Poussin’s box" that is,three-dimensional simulation technology.It analyzes the simulation and reality in realistic painting from the perspective of digital information.At the same time,it expounds my thinking on painting creation.
