"Expressing one’s aspirations through objects" is one of the most common means of expression in Chinese classical poetry, also known as "expressing one’s intentions through objects".It refers to the use of symbolic or inspirational techniques by poets to express the author’s emotions or reveal the main thrust of their works by depicting certain aspects of objective objects. In dance performances,"expressing one’s aspirations through objects" refers to the use of the expression techniques of "expressing one’s aspirations through objects" in dance works to create dance images, express emotions,or express themes. These works visually represent "things" such as flowers, birds, fish, and insects, but actually metaphorically refer to people. In this article, the author will take the dance drama "Little Sisters of the Grassland Heroes",the solo dance "Fenfei",and "Lieju" as examples, and combine his practical experience in performing three works to study the "Empowering Things to Express Ambition" in Mongolian dance performances. The text of this article is divided into three parts. The first chapter studies the classic Mongolian dance works of "expressing one’s ambition through the use of objects",and obtains successful experience from them; The second part takes the "three" works, which the author has personally practiced,as an example to explore the artistic characteristics of "expressing one’s ambition through the use of objects" from the perspective of performance; The third part mainly analyzes and studies some of the shackles, accumulated experience, and insights that the author encountered in the practice of the "three works" dance performance, mainly from the interpretation of "things" and the expression of "aspirations".
