There are a lot of head ancestral halls(or called),diffrent from normal ancestral halls,they have a position of high regard(the local people regard them as the leaders),similar to what Friedman called high-level clans(distinguish between regional clans).The head ancestral halls were built in the centre of the Bin Zhou city and held ancestor worship ceremonies regularly.The clansmen in Bin Zhou city and the surrounding areas actively donated money and participated in the ceremony activities.On the other hand,These head halls also have the meaning of the place where the ancestors first moved,quite a few of the same family members scattered outside the Bin Zhou city took Binyang county as the place where their ancestors first moved and thought that their lineage was derived from Binyang county.Thus the narrative discourse of "ancestors came from Binyang" is formed.This paper holds that the narrative discourse of "ancestors came from Binyang" is the result of the change of ancestral identity in response to the historical changes of politics,economy and culture,and the changes of local ethnic groups’ appearance and structure since the Tang and Song dynasties.The Tang Dynasty implemented Jimi system in the intersection area of Qian river and Yu river,and the imperial court could not completely control the places outside the prefecture and county.The local aborigines are called "Liao Li" and are under the jurisdiction of the local chieftains.Although the local chieftains have received Han culture education,the whole society still maintains the style of Baiyue ethnic group.The nongzhigao incident in Huangyou period of the Song Dynasty promoted the transformation of Jimi system to local government system,strengthened the control of Guangxi by the imperial court,and promoted the military and political status of Bin Zhou prefecture.In the middle and late Ming Dynasty,the Ming government further incorporated the aborigines who were separated from the state system into the Lijia system and became the "Min" within the system.Military syste After the establishment of the military system of Nandan Wei,Binzhou Qianhu Office,Qianjiang Qianhu Office,Si’en Canjiangfu,many aborigines were recruited to join the "military status",which greatly strengthened the control of the state over the area and changed the local population structure.With the Continuous excitements made by bandits,the ancestral hall construction activities in Binzhou achieved the top in the middle and late Qing Dynasty,became a trend and phenomenon,and finilly,the ancestal hall in Binzhou formed into head ancestral halls affecting the counties and cities around it.In the wake of the start of the war of Kunlung pass,belong to the Anti-Japanese War,the Binyang people treated the anceatral hall as a unit and supported the chinese army.By this way,a group of head anceatral halls,such as Wei Shi Zong Tang,developed their power into all of the Guangxi area.During the process of building Patriarchal Clans,the gentry class influenced by the legitimate culture devoted to own a reasonable legitimate status.The stories of Wei Jue in Tang Dynasty,the war between Di Qing and Nong Zhigao,the conquest of Bazhai area became available historical and cultural resources,and formed into the tale of that “My ancestors came to Guangxi Province with Diqing to suppress Nong Zhigao,and then settle in Binzhou,and then migrated to the place we living in or first to Donglan county,Nandan county then turn back to the Current residence area.The ethnic identity of the inhabitants living in the area among the Qian river and Yu river had change a lot In the long process of history,the situation of this area is that the Han ethnic group,the Zhuang ethnic group and the Yao ethnic group lives together.
